You Never Know What Your Day is Going to Be Like

Ya....ya..I know its a picture of my license, but you have to hear the story first!
Ok so it started out to be a wonderful day! I was heading to Busch Gardens with Debbie and Kirstein and some other wonderful people. But you know the verse that says, "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth,? Well I got to learn to apply that to my life today. (over and over again) We never know what our day is going to bring.
I woke up with great plans for the day. I took a shower, put on my makeup, put an updoo with my hair, and put on some culottes and a t-shirt! :) We were not supposed to leave until two-thirty, so I decided to go to the bank and Walmart. So I went into my room and got out my money to count it before heading to the bank(I'm a waitress so I always have 'ones' to count). I decided to clean out my purse too. While I was cleaning out my purse, I realized I didn't have something very important in my wallet. I checked and re-checked my wallet and then dumped everything out of my purse. I ran my hands through the paper wads and realized I was in huge trouble! My Driver's License was M-I-S-S-I-N-G!!
I rechecked through everything but could not find it. Finally I knew I had to get a new one. Soooooo I got my mother, informed her of the situation, and before long we were off to the Tax Collector's Office. When I went to get my ticket I showed her what I had and she told me that since I didnt have my Social Security card I had to have a W-2 form. So I went back with my mom to my house to get it. We got that and came back....finally after a thrity minute wait I got in line andwas informed that we were still missing a bill for my current address. By now I was sooo discourgaed and down in the dumps cause Debbie and Kirstein had just left. But my mom was a great encourager and she ran home got the last piece of "proof" and we came and after a twenty minute wait we were helped. The lady told us that the two pieces I had brough originally were enough proof. I was like,"really"?
Long story short- I misssed going out to BuschGardens cause I had to get another license. I was not a happy camper. I cried all the way home. But then I realized, my worst day as a Christian is nothing compared to an unbeliever's best day. God is GOOD!!

It was another day at Steak N Shake today. It was very steady, so I was glad. Andy was on his break when he decided to see if he could win a stuffed animal from the toy machine we have there. Now hardly anybody wins out of this toy machine, but Andy determines that he's gunna win something. He finally conviced me that he would if I would give him some quarters lol.... so ya I give in and give him the quarters. :) Well he loses!
"You're not supposed to lose." I told him.
"But its right there, I know I can get it this time. Just give me one more chance." His puppy dog eyes were huge.
"All right. But only one more time." Lol...he was so funny. But he won! He got a red dog which he called Scrappy. And after flaunting his ability he gave me the dog. He's soooo cute too :) :) (THE DOG) I want to make sure I clarify that! Then we took a picture.
Ya this was AFTER Happy Hour when it was slow....
Steak N Shake- Its been fun, its been real but it hasnt been real fun!! LOL...good times Kathy!!

Steak N Shake really is an awesome place to work. Lol... if there's not one thing going on, it's another!! Today I worked ten and a half hours. It was awesome!! (Awesome is such a kewl word!!) I had the priviledge of taking care of two old women. They were very nice, but they and some teen boys were my only tables in the restaurant in the ending of Happy Hour( half price off all drinks and shakes). Kyle my sister's boyfriend and Mike another sns coworker were grilling and dressing burgers. As they were engaged in the foodmaking process, they were singing Disney songs. It was normal for them to be singing, but being that it was dead in the restaurant, customers could clearly hear them. My two old women were very cute and they began asking them to sing different Disney songs!!! It was awesome to see them. They even got a sns hat and asked them to sign it. My manager came out at one point and was laughing too...
Then in the evening right before I left, it got extremely busy. So I stayed an extra two hours to help out. I had a table of one sit in a corner by himself. He has a crush on me. This was his second time of coming in and me waiting on him. He left me another 7 dollar tip again. But was threw me off was him telling me that he wanted to know more about me, and telling me that he wanted us to hang out. Well can I tell you how suprised I was to hear this! I'm sorry but this is a random stranger and he gave me his number when I didn't answer his questions. It is very awkward, and I thanked him and he left. He mumbled something to me but I did not hear it, and just smiled at me. This is FREAKY!! I really need to be cautious cause I don't know what he is going to do or what.................... I am so glad that God watches over His children. "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. "
"What time I am afraid I will trust in Thee." God is always near us. Lord, help me to trust You, and not make any bad decisions.

Memorial Day!!!

Happy Memorial Day!!!!

Unfortunately I spent this day on my way to work. If the day had been busy, it would have been worth it, but it was a very slow day, and my co workers found nothing to do but complain about our managers. It bothered me very much to hear them complaining because what they don't realize is that our managers are humans and they make mistakes just like they make mistakes.
But anyways, for lunch today I ate our new chicken sandwhich was absolutely delicious!!! :) :) Chick fil a chicken sandwhich tastes almost as good, and my brother PHilip and I (he works at Chik fil a) so we teast each other all the time about whose is better...lol...
Now I am at home watching a film with the family "Prisoner of Zenda".
I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day :) :) Don't forget that Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. As long as we keep God first, our nation will be successful and prosperous, but when we take God out of the home, and the school, and the government then our nation is doomed to failure. Something to think about today......

So Ya I was on my way to work yesterday, and I was taking pics of myself...lol...dnt worry not while I was driving...u know when I was at the light....:) :) Yesterday was a very interesting day. I usually am not late, but I arrived at like 4:05 when I was supposed to be there at 4. I walked in and the restaurant was crowded!! Tables everywhere full of ppl. So I went to make shakes and buss tables and stuff....that was fun...lol....It was a good day pretty much but I was scheduled to get off at eleven. Now it was dead, and I was so tired from this weekend and with church in the morning at ten thirty I was just ready to go. So with permission I got my sidework done, and clocked out just as teens started coming in the door. In no time at all there were over 40 teens in our restaurant, and other tables coming in as well. I had already clocked out, and was preparing to get my tips and leave. However, my mangaer had gone to the back to make shakes, and she was so busy I didn't even bother asking her to get my tips. What prepared to be a quiet evening, turned into chaos. There was laughter and loud teens talkng everywhere, the shake machines were going, steakburgers were now being cooked, and the place just turned into chaos as everything became louder and more urgent. I started helping my coworkers even though I was off the clock. I wanted to go home, but they needed my help. One of my coworkers later gave me 5 dollars for helping her out. That was really sweet of her! At eleven 45 I finally got my tips and got out of there. But that was a very interesting day. Steak N Shake always has something in store for my life. :) :) Ok now Im going to rest before choir practice tonight. Love you guys!!!

Another day @ work.....

So I got to open the restaurant this morning @ 7 in the mornning. Nice right? No that means I have to get up before 7! I arrived on Steak n Shake property at precisely 6:55 a.m. I waited in my car until seven o' clock, and then realized my co-worker was still not here to open the restaurant. I got out of the car and knew he would be a little late. I waited around for ten minutes before deciding to text my co-worker and ask where he was. Disappointed at his reply I realized he wouldn't be around for awhile. Apparently his alarm failed to go off, and he was definitely going to be late. He finally arrived at 7:30. I was not "as cheerful" as my usual personality would allow. During the day, there were several obsticles to overcome: there was no manager's key to clock us in, there was NO cash in the drawer!, my co-worker was unsure of his duties, and a server called out. Thankfully, my manger came in @ 9. Boy was I happy to see him, cause my co-worker was not helping me out. I finished cutting lemons, and making kid's placemats in peace. :) I had a good rest of the day. I actually made some money too, because it got a little busy for lunch, and my customers treated me well. :) One guy got a Spicy Chipotle Steakburger, but when I brought it out to him, he informed me that he had wanted the Spicty Grilled Chicken Chipotle burger. An honest mistake, but hard to re-make because the guy on the grill was all stressed out. The issue was resolved and he got his burger and had a good attitude about his meal. I was glad.
Today is my brother's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMMY!!! I LOVE YOU :) :) :)

Hey Y'all

Well as you can see Im definitely not one good at keeping a diary online...lol...It takes alot of time and when you're in college that can be hard to do....lol...
I'm out for the summer so we'll see how long this will last....hahahaha
I'm working hard as ever at work...its gunna be a busy summer. When I'm not working, I'm usually on the internet lol....
But now I am off to the bank!! hahaha bye
