Preaching, preaching, and more great preaching...

Hey!
I know...I know Ginger you are going to kill me for not writing sooner...but we've started a whole new semester, and things are busy. Im really excited about the classes Im taking this semester. They are all really cool. We also have cool classes, and teachers. Everything is going well.
Im really enjoying the chapel services. One of the guys here preached a really cool message entitled, "A Gift For God Who Has Everything." It was really awesome. I took some notes. Heres what I wrote down:
"All the gold and silver you know that is here came from God. So he was asking the question, what can we really give to God who has given us everything? The only thing in this whole world that we can really give God is our heart. The heart is the source of our motivation. We should follow the Lord out of a pure heart. Our motivation comes from the heart. God wants us to give Him a perfect heart. Here the world perfect means completeness. We give Him a perfect gift when we give Him our heart. So we cannot give him money or gold and silver. He gave us our talents and He gave us our tithes we give back to Him each week. What can you give God? You can give Him your heart, and you will find yourself cheerful in giving back to God everything He has given you!" I really liked that message. There was also another really good message this past Saturday that was a real blessing to me.
It was about how important it is for us all college students to be united together, and how for there not to be schism among us. I didnt take notes cause I had just gotten back from work just in time for the devotion, but it was sooo good, I wish I had taken notes. All the chapel services and preaching here is really good. Its one of the best things I love about this college :D
Well ttyl... Thanks for stopping by!!! :)

Christmas....

Merry Christmas!!!
We had a wonderful day 2day over at my adopted parents' house. I'm glad they invited me over, I was feeling very depressed that I couldnt be with my parents this year. This was my first christmas all alone and far far away from my family. I never want to do it again! ...lol...God is good though, Im soooo glad for the opportunity to visit with my adopted family. They were sooo very sweet and kind. We had a delicious lunch of sweet potatoes, ham and turkey, potatoes, deviled eggs, noodles, all kinds of pies and cookies, and sweet rolls! We spent alot of good time just being together and laughing, it really helped. I realize christmas isnt about spending time with family or presents, but its hard to enjoy christmas all alone.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Ok so it is really dead around here, since everyone has gone home...lol...so Sarah and I decided to play a few pranks on Mr. Security man! He is the nice security man, he knows he can always count on a prank from one of us....lol....ok so anyhu, Sarah and I decided to make these flyers and post them up everywhere. They said, the Dean of Students has given permission for curfew to be extended until 2 a.m over the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately one of the guy students came over and read it before mr. security man, and signed out to go somewhere. Meanwhile we were talking with mr. securtiy man, and suddenly his phone starts ringing. Of course this guy is on the other end...lol...and he's like "Um, the note that was posted is it really true that curfew is extended 'til 2 a.m.?"
Mr. Security man is like," No that was just another one of the Frauenhofer's pranks." We just all started laughing. But anyhu, it was funny. We are totally bored what else is there to do around here, I ask ya??? Then the next night I just start throwing skittles and m&ms down from our dorm @mr. security man. Hes like : are these supposed to be hitting me??? ...lol.....and then he's like hm....you must be bored..did you know you r littering??? and then he threw them right back at me! lol....it was funny!!! I was bored...you never know what I'll end up doing when Ise bored half to death...lol...
Well anyhu I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas, celebrating the true meaning of Christmas!!! I hope to post some of the latest chapel service messages on here soon :D I really love them!!! ttyl.....
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Midterms already?

Allright, Im back! Im sorry that I havent had a chance to blog lately, but college got a little busy the past few weeks. Not to mention that midterms are next week! I cant believe its already time for that! Whew...time flies so quicker than I imagined it would.
Today I have no early morning class, so thats why I have a little time write now to post. :D I have a pictoral on 9/11 due as well as a research paper on the patriarchs due next week, along with the midterms. So I really should study for those.
Anyhu, Im so excited one of the college girls invited me over to her house for Thanksgiving. She is teaching me how to drive too, so I cant wait until I start driving. Although, one of the college girls, just got into a car accident, she was turning at a light adn she didnt see a car coming (he was driving 90 m/h.) She was really shaken up when she got back. Please pray for her to heal she only got a couple of bruises but she was going to a job interview when this all happened, and her car was totaled, and she really needs a job, so pray all goes well.
Well, today we have chapel. So I better go get ready for that. I really like the chapel services. On Monday, we heard a great message from Romans 12:1,2 and the message was on Surrendering Your All to God. Surrendering your body and surrendering your will to God. It was really awesome.
I will talk to you all later:D

God IS Good!

Ok so yesterday I started my first secular job for 'real'! lol..Ok so I work as a waitress. And yesterday I actually waited tables all by myself. I was really proud of myself. I got alot of good tables, and I was suprised at one of the tables, the group left me a ten dollar tip!! When the day was done, I truly thanked the Lord. He has been so good to me. I had been praying and praying all yesterday that HE would b ewith me, as I went to work. He truly was with me, and I hope to be a great witness and testimony to all those around me. I am thankful for the coworkers there, they are a realy help and encouragement. They are really willing to help me when I am lost and dumbfounded. Praise the Lord though, Im so thankful for what He is doing in my life.
Well, I need to get to chapel.
I hope you all have a great day serving our one and only King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Chapel.....

Hey!
One of the things I really enjoy is our chapel services. The preaching is always so great! And even though we get alot of teaching in our three hour classes every day, chapel services seem to refreshen us, and encourage us in the Lord. Yesterday in chapel, we had a message in the book of Proverbs. It was really great about how "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." So the speaker taught that first there is the place that we should go to which is the name of the Lord. We should look to God at all times, so we dont have to run to Him when things get bad. We are already there close next to Him. Then there is the protection: a strong tower. God is our protection. Then 3rd ly there is the participant which is : the righteous. We are the righteous. Next we have the practice: runneth. We need to go to God, not to our friends or our money or our possessions and trust in those things. We rather need to run to Christ. And last but certainly not least we need to the Promise: and is safe. We will be safe. Thats a great promise isnt it? Everybody says that Bible college is the most likely place for people to drop out of and quit. I am glad and thankful for this Bible college, and their strong stand on the Word of God. Well, I have to get ready for work. Thanks for visiting my site. Have a great day serving our precious Lord!
