When God Changes Plans.....

"The End of Yourself is the Beginning of God" Bro. VanGeldrin said this the other day in our FBC chapel and it hasnt left my brain. It's really weird because it is soooo true. God often takes everything away so we can truly know God. I made plans and dreams for myself, and God had to take those all away. The only place I could safely look up and trust was God. It was then during the trials and storms that God held my hand all the way. It was no easy task. I wanted to know why. I searched for the reason this happened to me. Finally, I stopped looking and trusted the hand of God. I gave everything over to God, and He has shown Himself strong on my behalf. Its so true that you never know how strong your anchor is until you need it!! But I would never know God or have a personal Best Friend relationship with God today if He had never brought me face down. Our Plans don't change, our Changes are Planned!! God saved me from the worst mistake of my life, and for that I am truly thankful!!!

Another work day...

Hey Guys!!
So today at work, my coworker decided she wanted a picture of us all. It was a very fun and interesting night! Here at steak n shake we are more like friends than just coworkers. Oh by the way, Im not being rebellious, but the reason I wasn't wearing a bowtie like the rest of them was because I was on break and I had to take it off. :) In this picture from left to right is: Crystalle, Deanna, me, and Stephanie. We have alot of fun while doing our work at the same time.
It was a busy night. I was glad because gas prices are going up and I really need the money.
It was funny because two of my friends from FBC came in while I was working. We have a toy machine in our steak n shake, and there was some red dice that had the words 'Boston Red Socks' printed on them. I had been wanting them since yesterday, but I couldn't get them. I told my friends to get them for me. I gave him a dollar and he had two chances, and he missed both times. He was like, "" give me another dollar, I promise I'l get them this time!" I was a little nervous but I gave him another dollar. He GOT them on thehook and they made it into the trap door! I was sooo happy. B ut then he told me he was going to give them to his girlfriend!! I was like, "No you can't do that...lol..that was my money.." He kept teasing me, and then finally got them for me. It was cool.
School was great today! We had chapel today and Bro. Keith Smith from Venture of Faith Camp came and preached to us. We had an awesome time listening to him! One quote he made was,"Immature faith fears the discipline of God, but mature faith fears the disappointment of God." That really convicted my own heart because as you grow in God you hate disspointing God more than you hate the discipline part.
Well I have to get my Algebra II homework done tomorrow. Thank God for something before you fall asleep tonight :) I thank God today for the messengers He brings down my path to instruct and teach me how to grow closer to God!

FBC Basketball Game

Today was a very interesting day!! Today we were allowed to have a denim day in the college. It was our spirit day and we had college games in the evening. FBC played the highschool in basketball and then they played the FBC staff in basketball. It was very fun. Kirstein, Caroline, and I made t-shirts that each held a different letter of our college. I had the "F", Kirstein had the "B" and Caroline had the "C". We were the best cheerleeders ever!! The games were both very intense. We beat the highschoolers, but the staff totally beasted the college guys. Dr. Shumate made the first hoop!! We had one of the most fun times of all FBC activities. The girls even had a chance because at half time he called girls to come up and play knockout. It was a good day, but Carter got his foot hurt while trying to knock the ball from Bro. Ferguson which he did succesfully. The night was awesome. But I have homework to get to now, so I must go.

Saturday.....

Yesterday, Kirstein and I went to a teacher conference that is held yearly for those working in the daycare. I am not working in the daycare, but I plan to this summer Lord willing. It was our first time going to one of these things, and it was very interesting. It was done at a Baptist church, but I could tell they did not have all of the same doctrines as us. But it was a long Saturday. We left at eight and came back around two. Overall it was ok, just a long day. This is a picture of us waiting for the next session to start. We made a run to MCDs when there was a break. I got a caramel frappe to wake me up...lol..
Anyways then I went to work...and made some money...

Senior- What ALREADY?

I was taking senior pictures the other day. Debbie was my photographer and she did an excellent job helping me. I will post more later....

God's Grace is Sufficient

When I think about how much GOd has done in my life, I sit back and wonder why. God has truly always been there every step of the way. I ponder about how fast my life slip right on by. James 4:14 says Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow, for your life is but a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. God has been so good to me. Im getting to ready to do my devotions tonight, and I wonder what God has in store for me. Every night as I open my Bible, it is so awesome to see that God has something special in there just for me!! Yesterday I was amazed- I found a verse in Psalms that God convicted me about forgiving and the benefits of it. It was so awesome to find that because I was struggling with that sin yesterday and all week long. Today as I went to a teacher's conference, I got my heart right with God. It is so easy sometimes to just keep taking back what you have promised God He can have. It is always easy for me to do, and I find myself weeping over my foolishness. God in His infinite wisdom is so awesome and faithful to me. I thank God so much every day for saving me from a life of agony and misery.
God's grace is sufficient every single hour of every single day. And his love is abundant and free. Thank- you so much God for saving my soul and promising a mansion in heaven someday for me. :)
God is good.
